Job Description and Profile:

The Media Supervisor plays a critical role in our company’s business, leading our top funnel customer acquisition efforts. They will be responsible for leading market-level media strategy, planning and spend optimizations to meet business goals. They will manage all mass media tactics including TV, Radio, OOH and OTT/Streaming, including evaluating agency recommendations, providing weekly business results, managing the media budget and traffic. The Media Supervisor will also be knowledgeable about Digital and work closely with our Digital team to ensure an integrated media approach. They are analytical, strategic and performance-driven, able to provide sound direction and thrive in a high-paced retail environment. 


Job Duties:

  • Lead and manage our media agency partnership for best results on our investment 
  • Accountable for all media performance, able to pull insights from reporting and clearly communicate what’s working and where we have opportunities on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Manage media budget forecasting and actualizations in partnership with Finance
  • Execute, manage, and optimize media campaigns and grand opening plans, partnering with Creative teams for needed formats/sizes and target/language alignment in order to meet campaign timelines 
  • Partners with our Digital Team for a holistic view to ensure alignment and one voice to the customer 
  • Accountable for developing and maintaining buying guidelines
  • Manage media agreements and contracts with media buying agency and/or outside media vendors 
  • Monitor media mix and media buys to ensure all brand safety, ad fraud, and viewability standards are met or exceeded 
  • Monitor media for pacing, delivery, placement, flight date discrepancies, and negotiate credit or billing adjustments when necessary 
  • Always in the know on the latest media consumption trends and industry changes, sharing best practice and innovative ways to reach the right audiences
  • Responsible for the preparation of insertion orders and placement of advertising with media vehicles, as applicable 
  • Management of Media Coordinator, who will assist with creative trafficking, invoice reconciliation, competitor research, budget accuracy per market/per media mix/per time period 
  • Implement and manage media tools to manage the business
  • Cross-functional leader and media expert responsible for driving DMA and store-level results

  • Analytical, able to dig into the data and see trends and opportunities meaningful to the business

  • Ability to manage media buying agency by providing direction and feedback, understanding media mix as it relates to the market and audience

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • 3-5+ years experience managing media agencies 
  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint, ability to develop needed reporting and pivot data as needed
  • Knowledge of mass and digital media 
  • Experience with media platforms; Strata, Kantar, Squad, Nielsen, comScore
  • Ability to deliver executive summary presentations and tell a story leveraging the data
